An Update from Lesley

Emily saw the surgical oncologist this morning and received the results of her pathology report.  The tissue that was removed came back indicating more cancer throughout the entire left breast. As a result, Emily will need a mastectomy on her left breast with a strong possibility of a double mastectomy.  She doesn't have a surgery date yet, but thinks that it will be in the next few weeks.  So, here's the good news.  No radiation needed and possibly no chemo.  She'll find out more regarding the chemo when she meets with her medical oncologist.

Prayer requests:
  • No chemo!
  • Complete healing from her surgery last week in preparation for another surgery in a few weeks.
  • Wisdom for Emily and plastic surgeon as they discuss reconstruction options.
  • God would grant supernatural strength and peace for the family!
  • Thursday Emily was able to attend Landon's 5th Grade Walk!
  • No radiation!
  • The amazing love and support of so many people jumping in to help!
  • Landon's follow-up appointment went great! He needs to continue his meds, but is quickly recovering from his pneumonia. No more follow-ups needed.

"But as for me, I watch in hope for the LORD, I wait for God my Savior; my God will hear me."  Micah 7:7
